  About the Quaich

The Quaich is an exceptional three-bedroom house on the waters edge of Fearnan, Loch Tay between the villages of Kenmore and Killin.

Offering outstanding modern and spacious self-catering accommodation, the Quaich has been finished with contemporary, quality furnishings, to create the feeling of luxury and relaxation.

Designed as an ‘upside down’ house, the living space of the Quaich is upstairs, taking full advantage of the stunning uninterrupted views.

The QuaichWhether your aim is to fish (the Quaich holds non-migratory fishing rights on Loch Tay), canoe, walk, cycle, pony trek, golf or simply relax and enjoy the magnificent scenery, all are on the doorstep of the Quaich. In a group of friends, family or just having a quiet weekend away - the Quaich has something for everyone.

Originally, a quaich  (pronounced ‘quake’), was a cup used to offer guests a welcome drink (not unusually a nip of whisky!). In more recent times the Quaich has been used as a favour at many Scottish weddings, being presented to all at the top table.

A quaich has a special place in the heart of all who know something of its history and is a prized possession of many people who have an association with Scotland. It will always, however, be remembered for its traditional use and the Quaich has been designed to ensure your stay is just as warm and welcoming.

Treat yourself to a break in the Quaich and we are confident you will return again and again!
